Do your kids love searching for words? This reading wordsearch is an interactive way to activate their brains.
As parents, we are always looking for ways to help encourage our children to learn, and wordsearches are a fun way to work their brains, without them even realizing that are learning, as they having fun!
One great way to do this, is to have them find words that are associated with reading. This wordsearch is up or down, and does not include any diagonals.
If you like to have a wordsearch with more of a challenge, I have Reading # 2, that includes the same words, but with diagonals, and another wordsearch for genres of books. This bundle can be bought here on Etsy.
Have fun exploring this wordsearch, as your child explores different types of objects that we may read, or use to read. Once you finish the wordsearch, see if you can find any of the words on the wordlist in your home, and outside of your home, too.
It can open up some dialogue, where would a “Brochure” be found and why what would it be used for? Why do you like reading, “Magazine over cards”. What makes hockey cards interesting to read?
Go on an adventure around your town. Find an elevator to ride, and feel the Braille on your finger tips, would it be hard to read without your eyes?
I’m sure you can find even more discussions amongst the words that are included in this Reading wordsearch.
